Data and corrections

Where every figure comes from, how fresh it is, and how to report an error.

Where figures come from

Figures come from primary sources: company filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (EDGAR), investor-relations pages, declared dividends, and fund fact sheets and prospectuses.

No market-data vendor feed is used on this site, and no figure is taken from another aggregator. A distribution's tax character is verified against the issuer's latest tax notice or 19a-1 disclosure, with its date cited, and is never stated from memory.

How fresh the figures are

Every card carries its snapshot week. Figures are re-checked on the weekly refresh, and a figure older than 7 days past the snapshot is treated as stale. The Methodology page states the freshness rule.

When a figure moves a grade, the change is logged on the ledger and reported in the Weekly House Score. Grades change only when a metric crosses a threshold.

How to report an error

Use the feedback page for a bug report or a correction, or write to [email protected]. Say the card, the figure, and the filing or document that shows the correction.

Corrections are fixed on the card and logged. A correction that changes a grade is reported in the Weekly House Score with the rest of the week's grade changes.
